Q. How this voltmeter could help?

A. High voltage Hybrid and Electric Vehicle batteries are made up of small cells in series.

If a group or a cell malfunctioned, not getting a full charge or has shorted, it could be hard to notice and know this problem. If you have this meter, you could check the voltage whilc charging or when engine is off. A change is voltage reading could indicate deterioted battery condition or a cell or a battery group might not be functioning normally.

Further, a handy person or a technician could use this meter to measure the total voltage of the series, or use this to measure each partition (interval halving), each group and down to each cell to narrow down and pinpoint the problem.
