How to Solder Male Headers on Solder pad.
* Apply solder on the middle pad.
* Break a 3-pin Male Headers set.
* Put double adhesive tape on the table.
* Place the LED with pad pointing up (North).
* Position the long ends of the center pin to the center pad.
The tip just of the pins just need to be mid-way of the pad length.
Notes: The pins are now on top of the pads and pointing down (South).
The left and right pins are along the outer edge of the pad.
* Press the solder tip down the center pin. When the solder melted, remove the tip quickly.
Check if the pins are still aligned with the pads.
* With the center pin and pad in proper position and alignment, Press the hot iron tip to left pins and apply the solder.
The solder would join the pin and pad nicely.
* Solder the right pin in similar manner.
* Resolder the center pin (as needed).
* Test each LED chip (Red, Green and Blue) separately.
* Repeat to apply 3-pin male header on the bottom pad. Note that the user could choose to have common cathode or common anode
Be careful not to apply too much solder and overflow to nearby pins.
* Slide the plastic body of the pin headers toward the center so that longer pins are expose for female header connection (See photo above).
